Welcome, readers! The poet herself, Wendy Negley, is about to publish her first full-length poetry book, and she would love to share it with you! The book is titled “The Heart Has No Rules,” published by Hugo House Publishers and will be in their Christmas Catalog. The book will be available at Amazon and Barnes and Noble.

Wendy Negley
Wendy Negley was born the day after Christmas 1948 in Chicago, Illinois. She grew up in Alcoa, Tennessee, where she wrote her first poem at the age of five, Little Rock, Arkansas and Seattle, Washington. Wendy went to Antioch College in Ohio and wrote poetry. She had a career in education, has been a spiritual counselor, a supervisor of spiritual counseling and served two terms as the Executor Director of a Non-profit organization.
In 1974, she married Dennis Negley and they had two children. In 2015, Dennis and Wendy followed their daughter and grandchildren to Oregon. She continued to be a spiritual counselor in Portland. She wrote poetry. Her husband died in November 2019. She was a widow at 70. In 2020, she was engaged at 71, in 2021, a bride at 72, marrying William Thames.
Wendy lives in Beaverton, Oregon with her husband and two cats. The cats belong to her husband but tolerate her.
